can't say i noticed any simularity


and also i think Hellsing is a better vampire anime (i like the style more)


but top of my list is probably tsukiyomi ~moon phase~ with tsukihime/meltyblood coming a close second

I've only seen a bit of it but I found the premise of a vampiric vicar in the Somerset village of Cheddar a bit hard to stomach.

well some of the "english" aspects are a little dodgy (armed vampier hunting in camden) but if you displace that (very easy to do if you watch the japanese audio) it's excelent

also the manga is increadably dark with lotsa blood and sex kinda stuff (i'll scan a picture later) although i want to smack the shit outta the guy who gave them all silly accents


and TV or OVA ... anime is useually released either as a tv series and is 12-26 episodes long in genral or as an OVA an Original Video Animation which is sold directly on video/LD/DVD and is say 3-6 episodes long

often a popular TV series will spawn a OVA or an OVA will be expanded into a TV series ... also some Manga or games get OVA if they are popular

please note that unlike straight to video movies OVA are genraly of excedingly good quality
