Really really annoying bits in games.

i got stuck collecting one of the final jewels in spyro the dragon. that's as far as my game playing has ever got.

Is it that bad, I was looking forward to mooching around a 12th C Acre, etc, must still be worth it on the PC for the incredible virtual medieval worlds surely?

The bit in Assassins Creed between the opening and ending credits.

In XCOM Apocalypse when the aliens start carrying Entropy Launchers. Although that's more terrifying than annoying.

That's manageable, though, in terms of difficulty. However, XCOM Terror Of The Deep... well, actually, the entire bloody game after a certain point is completely fucking impossible. Every raid or base or whatever is just an exercise in how completely and randomly outgunned a team can be, in a not-fun-at-all way.

I got stuck on the second to last boss on Devil May Cray 3 (it took me months to get to this point) , no matter how many times i fought the thing i couldnt even get close to beating him, checked out some guides but still couldnt beat it

eventually i gave up without completing the game......:mad::mad:

I'll go back and check if I did this and see if I can think of anything helpful. I'm on DMC 4 at the moment

It's got the illusion of being a free-form game but to explore the city you either have to fanny about walking amongst people or take to the rooftops and either way gets boring really fast. Surely this can't be from the people who made Prince of Persia? Or did I dream that?

I'm baffled as to why it got such acclaim, the marketing team deserve a bonus, that's for sure.

Obligatory water/swimming level.
Obligatory ice/slippy level.
Obligatory Fire/burning level.

I like a nice platformer as much as the next man, but come on guys......I was sick of these in the mid-90's.

I can't think any game where the swimming/underwater/limited breath bits are any cop - these are the worst.

The lasers bit in The Getaway was by far the most annoying bit of any game I have ever played, and it was made worse by the controls. If you are going to copy GTA 3 then you should at least copy the foot controls.

Lost Planet

The last funking boss on lost planet. Loved the online but hate stupid boss fights. Tried about 20 times then gave up :( So near to completion. :(

Any of those adventure games where you ended up wandering round trying to use everything with everything else, until something finally worked. Usually something completely illogical you could never have predicted.

I remember one where you had to use some paper on the wall, which your character then chewed up and stuck on to make a button, which opened a secret door when pressed.

Telling me Zak and Wiki, sort of pointy clicky adventure for the Wii has a moment of madness in it for the final boss.

Capcom can go fuck themselves for that.

I just wasted about three hours on Zelda on the DS.

Ghost Ship, 3rd level. There are 5 levers.

There's even a clue telling you what to do.

For some reason, I took the clue in completely the wrong way. I must have pulled those levers 50 times. Following the clue, clue backwards, clue minus 1, clue minus 2, clue minus 3, first pair, second pair, middle digit... I was even trying to lure the reapling thing into the pit, maybe it's the spiders, are there 5 spiders? right, then kill the spiders in that order...

and then it clicked.

Fuck's sake. What a dumbass.

you were first?

i never got that far, i keep taking a wrong turning or crashing while trying to look at the minimap so as not to miss the turn.

that and the online doesn't work properly.
