FREESTYLE! FREESTYLE!!

Watched S1E1 again last night...

In the courtroom, that shit was tight! I ain't never seen a white woman go that red before, man!

Yeah it's not like it builds and builds to conclusion...it ebbs and flows...sometimes it's all action other times there seems to be a lull but it works brilliantly because it suddenly hits you with something.

Well, yeah, but hadn't been bored until now and I'm 75% of the way through the whole lot. I meant 'uh oh' 'cos I might have burnt myself out by watching too much.

Will have a break tonight.

I cant watch the news now because It makes me think of the wire so much.

For example, this donations scandal. Just like in The Wire.

The police chief Andy Hayman resigning the other day. I can just imagine the power games going on in Scotland Yard.

I guess it's opened your eyes somewhat. Fwiw, I've tended to find that sometimes the right 'art' comes along at the right moment for me; had it been six months later or earlier it wouldn't have had that effect or made that impression. But then there's always someone else for whom it was just the right thing at that point.

Even now I recall the effect of Catcher in the Rye when I was 15-16 - other stuff at regular intervals later. I'd think it has to be of a quality though to be able to resonate like that.
