Haven't read the thread (not after the last time! )...but just in case noone else has said it yet, the London transport museum do concessions fees (about a fiver iirc), with proof of benefits, which I believe would be useful for your bf.

been there today. It's free for Freedom Pass holders so only had to pay for b/f's brother and myself

Walked round Covent Garden area and then went over bridge to Namco Station.

Leaving house in half hour to take them to see Stomp. I'm knackered

i'm sure that hms belfast is in the 2 for 1 national rail offers. just buy a single ticket from charing cross to deptford for £2 (or so)
