RAF Brize Norton Blockaded

All of them? Really? You do of course have proof that any random sample of 200 soldiers who may or may not have been sat at Brize yesterday have ever abused Iraqi civillians, don't you?
You suggested they would attack non-violent protesters, not me.

They might, it might not go to well for the protesters if an R and R flight from Afghanistan or Iraq has landed today and 200 pissed off squaddies are sat in the departures lounge waiting to go home though...
 And what is that supposed to mean?

And are you suggesting that officers would be unable to control there troops in an airport waiting lounge? If you are then there too bloody ill disciplined to be given sharp sticks let alone released, tooled to the hilt in a low intesity conflict.

If you had a two week window to see your wife and kids and had to spend the first day of it in an airport lounge because of a protest outside the airport, how impressed would you be?

Actually what we really need is a bunch of crack protestors to go and wave placards at the Taliban-Al.Q in Helmand and liberate their donkeys. That'll teach them! ;)

Hope the tosspots didn't do anything to disrupt this

A life-saving scheme, where the RAF work in partnership with the NHS Ambulance Service, will be officially launched on July 7.

The RAF Brize Norton First Response scheme is an expansion of a charity which helps to save lives in Wiltshire. The County's third First Response Team will operate in Swindon and surrounding villages, significantly reducing the time patients need to wait for emergency treatment following a 999 call.

Hey Fred, good to see your concern about ambulances. I imagine you've already made your feelings known to the appropriate authorities about what happened to this ambulance:

Perhaps the rocket that hit it had already passed through Prestwick or Brize Norton?

(Sorry, who are the "tosspots"?)

Oh, and don't mention that all that money spent on "defence" and the war on terror could easily be invested in the ambulance service.

This isn't the time or the place for this is it?

Protest over, many unimpressed, this is not about the rights and wrongs of the massive drain of the NHS on the country, nor is it about R&R timings for military personel.

That's right, move along folks, nothing to see here. No relationship between Fred's concern over ambulances at Brize Norton with ambulances blown to bits by Israeli bombs possibly facilitated on their way to Lebanon by British service personnel at Brize Norton.

Nothing to see at all. Move along now...

And that means they will commit violence on the protesters?

What happens after a four hour fire fight where they loose a couple of mates then rather than a couple of hours leave? Take it out on some 14 year old girl nearby like certain americans?

Your coded threat to the protesters is unreal. Largely becuase no officer would allow it to happen. Your comment however is unnerving.

Probably more likely to be refuelled by the USAF 100th Air Refueling Wing based at RAF Mildenhall if they wanted to do in-air refuelling.
