Radiohead to play Victoria Park!

It's a very strict 10:30 finish as well. So if it's 10:27 and they've just finished a song, make a smart 180 turn and start leaving, cos there's no time for another song no matter how much noise you make :)

Boze in the park is ok. You can't take it into the arena.

'It's nearly pumpkin time' said Thom at 10.17 while i was sat in a portaloo :D

I know it was 10.17 because i texted 'Thom just said it's nearly pumpkin time' to a mate who has no idea who Thom is :D

It's amazing how much cider you can get if you collect enough beer cups :D;)

Edit: That was by way of an example of how strict the shutdown time was...

I couldnt get tickets but a friend went last night and said the atmosphere was great and that they played many songs from their latest album as well as some from previous albums but the less well known ones.

Really good gig last night, I thought the new ones didn't stack up as well and they messed a few of the songs up but over all it was ace.

Am gutted, My friend bought 4 tickets for £200, and as of this morning they have not arrived and the ticket website are not answering the phone and have apparently been on watchdog!

so no radiohead for me:(

No! You could have picked them up at the gate >_<

Was awesome last night, I think we got a better set than the previous night. Had the addition of Karma Police, The Bends, and they finished on Paranoid Android. The new songs came across really well live. It reminded me how much I hate outside gigs thogh, for some reason they seem to attract a much higher ratio of complete twats.

I absolutely loved it, no complaints with the set-list - I would have been happy hearing nothing but tracks from the last 2 albums, but it was fantastic hearing some of the old classics towards the end such as Karma Police and My Iron Lung; and finishing with Paranoid Android was brilliant :D

idioteque posting

It was fucking awesome. They played all the songs I really wanted to hear :D

As cliche said, it was a shame about all the dickheads there though. I nearly cried at the beginning because I couldn't see for shit, but it got marginally better and i could see intermittent flashes of Thom's ridiculous trousers, so I was happy. Next time I'll insist on being right at the front though.

'Go Slowly', iirc.

It was a great gig. Sound was a bit wonky at the beginning which was a pity because it's not generally nice for people around me if they can hear me singing along to 'Lucky'. :D

But once that got sorted out it was great. Highlights: Mental Jonny Greenwood guitar on 'Bangers n Mash'; Thom's scary trousers; 'Optimistic': never heard that one live before and it's really spectacular; all the singalong's: 'Karma Police' particularly. I really like the way they connect with an audience these days - it wasn't always that way. It's quite a communal thing seeing Radiohead now. Pretty wonderful, really.

Far and away my favourite band on the planet. :)

They really do put on a good live show. No pissing about, properly play the fuck out of the songs :)

You're right.

There was a bit in 'Videotape' where Thom looked miles away: not with us, right into the song. It's not one of my favourite songs of theres but it all made sense when I saw him swaying back and forth like he was in a trance or summat.

They had shit sound, I was miles from the stage, I'd just eaten a regrettable 4 quid burger. But they still blew me away.

It was absolutely fucking brilliant. :)

Saw them on wednesday and just got back from Glasgow after seeing them again on friday.

Better gig up in scotland I reckon, even if it was pissing down all night. Thom's opening line was "Nice night for it, you wanna move down south" which went down well:D

We got "Fake Plastic Trees" up there

Spotted Mr Yorke taking a pre-gig stroll down the Great Western Road all on his lonesome in the afternoon as well.

The sound was pretty good from where I was standing. I'm wary of outside gigs because of sound quality issues, but this was fine. I was probably at the focal point of the stage though.

You know I had two tickets (spare) to see this but no one would go with me so I didn't bother.
