Quirks of Your Vehicle

My car is a Japanese import and the indicator/wiper stalks are on opposites sides. I'm used to it now, but occasionally I still turn the wipers on when trying to indicate or flashing someone instead of washing the windscreen :ffs: :D

It's been alleged by an anonymous third party that there's nothing wrong with my car at the moment. I'd never make such claims myself.

Things that used to be wrong include the stereo not working when it was cold outside (duff amp), and also it'd lose left/right when going around corners or over bumps. Also sometimes the fog lights turn on when you start the car, maybe once every hundred times.

I suppose it doesn't have any cupholders.

like the old joke - how do you know you are dealing with a vegan - dont fuckin worry, they will tell you - just substitute Audi for Vegan

Audi- cars made from the parts bin of beetles, T25's and jettas

One of the quirks of my great Ford Fiesta was that the go faster stripes made absolutely no difference to performance at all :p

doesnt FWD lose traction in the snow as the weight moves back as you accelerate ?
Not really as the weight of the engine is right above the driving wheels.
FWD is more predictable and safer than rear wheel drive in the snow.
4wd is best though, combined with winter tyres.

other quirks- my old volvo 4wd needed all 4 tyres replaced at the same time if you got an unrepairable puncture & decided not to buy a part worn tyre with the same tread depth. £££££££ for a new set of tyres or ££££££££££££££££££££££ for a new gearbox/ diff as it mashed itself into silver swarf

the puddymobile has a few

design of the fuel filler bit is not very compatible with a lot of diesel pumps which makes fuelling slow at some places and almost impossible at others

the trip counter and the rear window wash both stopped working some time around the millennium

the synchromesh is not very predictable so i tend to work on the basis that it won't.

It says Quattro on the glove box...and on the front grill...

I suspect your car does not speak, I guess you refer to badges! Audi drivers are the new BMW drivers.

I have to admit, this is a classic an icon even, but this is the end of the road for Audi's and Quattro's.

^ That's often called 'ur Quattro' now (as in primordial, not as in text speak) to distinguish it from every boring S-lined use of the moniker.

We need a boring car. It's for transporting my family around in, doing the school run, taking the dog to remote locations etc.
