I don't see the problem here at all, Hackney wants it both ways and can't get it so is having a winge.
A simple request for advice, actually. But I'll pass on your concern for the tenant and your offer of a floor to sleep on.![]()

Sorry - sloppy wording on my part.yes Hackney fucked up by agreeing to let the 2 move out early and not honouring the contract, now they want recompensing off someone or the other tenant to lose money.

Sorry - sloppy wording on my part.
Did anyone read and accurately comprehend the OP?
Yes, and I responded that the nice thing to do would be to allow him to stay on and lose 4/3 of a week's rent. HE9 says that they cannot afford to do this. If they are in such dire financial straights, I would suggest that moving abroad was possibly a reckless thing to do. We can only respond to the information that is presented to us.Sorry - sloppy wording on my part.

Umm, yes he does. You haven't read the thread at all, have you.yes, have you, legally H9 hasn't a leg to stand on.

There is really nothing you can do, you fcked up by agreeing to let the other 2 move out early, I don't want a tenant, when I travel or work abroad I leave my house empty, it's my house I don't expect anybody else to pay the mortgage thank you very much.
With whom did you verbally agree? So your place is available for this tenant?
Legally, we're fine, thanks for the faux-concern, you rich cunt, as we verbally agreed all three could leave early, then they came back saying one wanted to stay.
So you'd be able to pay the mortgage, plus the rent on the accomodation you were occupying? It would seem HackneyE9 isn't as fortunate.when I travel or work abroad I leave my house empty, it's my house I don't expect anybody else to pay the mortgage thank you very much.

Which is 4/3 of a week's rent, as I said. No, it would be 2/3 of half the month's rent.

You're just being wilfully obtuse now. It doesn't suit you at all.Yes, and I responded that the nice thing to do would be to allow him to stay on and lose 4/3 of a week's rent. No, it would be 2/3 of half the month's rent.
If this tenant was in such "dire financial straights" I would suggest he didn't buy one thousand pounds worth of furniture, before claiming he's skint.
You're just being wilfully obtuse now. It doesn't suit you at all.
He's losing 1.3 weeks rent from the two tenants who move out and 2 weeks rent to his own landlord because he cannot move back into his house until the last tenant leaves. Do you have that kind of money lying around to just gift to strangers? Lucky you - it'd take me a year to pay off that kind of overdraft...
Look HE9 agreed to let the others move out early, thus expecting the other tenant to move out before the contract is completed as well, 3rd tenant says no way, which is within his rights.
HE9 now wants to charge the full rent to the tenant that is left who is not liable due to the fact HE9 okayed the other 2 moving.
get it yet?
Which is 4/3 of a week's rent, as I said.![]()
No, he's losing 2 weeks rent to own landlord minus 2/3 week rent for own place. (And I haven't actually heard reference to his own landlord in this thread.)He's losing 1.3 weeks rent from the two tenants who move out and 2 weeks rent to his own landlord because he cannot move back into his house until the last tenant leaves.
what he spends his money on is of no concern of yours.

My sympathy is draining again. You're charging £375 per week in rent?If you say so. It's about 500 quid, anyway, which seems to be no skin off your nose, but I can't afford.
Not quite, snadgey old boy. The tenants asked en masse if they could move out early, to which I said should be ok, then one came back and said he wanted to stay to end.
The only person who's fucking someone else here is this tenant fucking the other two, who will now have to pay till the end whether they live there or not. I was just trying to be helpful.
The 2/3 is what you are paid by the remaining tenant, which is then subtracted from any rent you have to pay for those 2 weeks.4/3 of a week actually - remember?![]()
