Queuing For Food

There is a review on trip adviser with the person getting a currywurst & chips from curry36 for the queue which was 2 hours! They also say that the owner is featured in a Netflix doc about chef Tim Raue, they don’t give name of doc but looks like Chefs Table.

Massive no from me. I can't stand queuing - especially for food - at a festival or something I'll wait a few minutes and I'll begrudge it. Half the time they're artificially maintained in order to attract gullible fools.

A friend of mine sent me a pic from the queue in the OP and they waited something stupid like an hour in the cold. I bet after waiting a hungry hour in the cold even dog shit would taste like the best thing ever.

Nope nope nope. Queuing for food out of choice is just utter madness IMHO.

Or people queuing to exit a tube station through the barriers when there's a perfectly useable pushchair gate that's completely free.
Those gates are a bastard though and always go from amber to red for a few seconds before you can scan your oyster. I guess while it locks out the other side. Annoys me every time I use them.

This is the key factor I think. Nobody wants to admit to themselves that they've just waited two hours for some deeply ordinary food so they convince themselves it's the best they've ever tasted. Then they go back next week and queue for another two hours for another helping of meh. All the while reinforcing their delusion that they've discovered the Best Food in Berlin (which is a bit like boasting about having found the warmest place in Finland tbh) and inflating both the reputation and profits of what is, when you get right down to it, a kebab van.

I wouldn’t queue for an hour and a half in the cold at some catering van, no. :D
That’s like Alton Towers queue times for a roller coaster on a bank holiday ffs.

You know I said nice things about you yesterday? Well I take it all it all back  :D
You probably wouldn't like Irish curry sauce either ...

is it like that grim 'curry' sauce you get in some chip shops down south?
I don't know what southern chippie's curry sauce is like. I bought a can of the McDonell's stuff just to see what it was like. It's nothing like any proper curry and a bit too sweet for my liking but it's ok with chips.
