Griffin Vs ?

If he was up to it (he's in his eighties now), Cyril Smith from the Liberals. He used to argue with people back in the 70's who wanted to stop immigration, and he's enough of a bruiser not to be fazed by Griffin.

Will Self could do it though IMO. I remember him putting Melanie Phillips in her place when she tried to claim he didn't have the right to comment about Israel (forgetting that he was himself half-Jewish).

Griffen and four others..

David Davis
Vince Cable and/or Paddy Ashdown
Jon Cruddas and/or Alan Johnson
David Aaronvitch and/or Peter Hitchens

Any combination of the above should be able to knock that pipsqueak Griffin into a cocked hat.

Would not go for Galloway, the average Brit finds him as noxious or worse than Galloway. Griffin would be able to point to his arse licking of Saddam.

Peter Tatchell would be good, as he's an unequivocal defender of free speech, and might goad Mr Griffin into the sort of gibbering rant the BNP really wouldn't like on national TV.

David Davis would also be good, except, like Mr Hague, he's compromised by his recent history in the Conservative Party. Worse, he's supported the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. It's essential that the BBC get a right-winger who opposed both on opposite Mr Griffin.
