Quantum of Solace - 007 Bond, James Bond

Yep me too and bloody hell didn't know them trailers are in front of it!

I thought a quantum could be an amount too?

I'm definitely going to see this, for two reasons:

1) I loved Casino Royale and hopefully this will carry on the feel of 'new and inexperienced' Bond.

2) The trailers being shown in front of QOS:
Watchmen (Full trailer = geekgasm)
Star Trek (JJ Abrams' relaunch)
Terminator: Salvation (Christian Bale as John Connor)

Ohhhhhhhhh wowwwwwwwww, new Bond!!! So looking forward to this, Daniel Craig is fantastic as Bond, love the thuggish portrayal and seen Casino Royale tons of times. So excited and just hope that once again anti-Daniel heretics are proven wrong and have to eat humble pie whilst watching view to a kill or something back at home while I'm down the kino for the 5th time watching guns and stuff in surround sound so it's loud.

so glad you're enthusiastic :)

OMG I will never watch star wars the same way again!! Lol...

Hmm Dan Craig... havent quite made up my mind if I like him as JB or not... mayhaps I will be swayed by this movie. Roger Moore has always been my fave Bond... Its that rogueish look in his eye and the fact that he doesnt seem to take it oh so seriously that I like...

No he doesn't. Have you not see the holiday special? He does owe him a life dept though or something.

Han refused to kill Chewie on orders from his commander, after finding him nearly dead, hence the life debt (and the removal of the Corellian Bloodstripe from his trousers).

Sorry. :o

i like watching old james bond fillums sometimes, but that's more of an appreciation of their kitschness, but i really have no interest in watching any of the new ones.

and no, i don't want to be james bond.

Do you count the books?

Well... I think that's the canon version from the Han Solo trilogy of books, so yeah.

But I also remember something about Han rescuing Chewie from an Imperial Prison in the original HS triology (at Star's End, & the Lost Legacy, Revenge), but I guess those have been superceded.

Hmm...so crushing diappointment of someone ruining my fav graphic novel
A shite re-magining of a franchise that died for a reason
Fucking Bale pulling that face again (plus some obv cool robots!)

Hard to get too excited
and you've seen all three?

no?

tit.

Just saw this - was pretty disappointing to be honest - just sort of meh.

I want it to be all gadgets and campery again now please

were you ready for it to be set scant hours from CR?

I like new bond. He's the emotionless bastard you'd expect from a merciless tool. I hope sole ass is as good as royale without cheese

i haven't even seen casino royale yet. is it worth it? heard it was marginal....

i'm a huge bond fan, have seen most of the earlier ones at least 20 times each. my fave is You Only Live Twice :-p

that's a shame

It is - there's just nothing really redeeming about it, it had the feel of a getting-thru-it mid trilogy filler to be honest, plot was unexciting, baddie was unengaging. Craig was okay, not blown away by him though this time - very pouty he was.

Done very little to forward the plot of the hunt for the secret organisation who killed Vesper as well.

would you rate it better or worse than "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"??
