nah, classic and non fussy. how a crest shoud be imo
not keen on that myself, but thats more to do with its links to the hammersmith crest.
I had a club/country double enamel badge thing with just the U part in full colour. That badge as pictued there looks a bit crap.
I don't hate the new one at all, just the Queens Park Rangers bit in the middle looks a bit dull and unimaginative like Stoke City and Arsenal. Put the old QPR style writing in gold instead and I'd love it.
Some nerds on QPR boards are moaning about the torse (the bit around the side) saying you only have them around knights helmets ala Dagenham & Redbridge.

It's not a torse, it's a mantle. However, the point is a good one.
The mantle is a stylised representation of the cloth draped over a knight's helmet to protect him from the weather.
In the QPR "arms" the helmet has been replaced by a football. Totally illiterate.

The club doesn't have "loads of cash". Some Directors have loads of cash and their entire interest in football is to make loads more. They're really not going to be living the mad Russian's dream.

Zidane would be a ridiculous choice and I'd think the speculation around him, is probably from QPR itself, to whip up season ticket sales and publicity. I'd doubt that they have any intention of appointing him as manager...

i am reserving judgement at the minute. i like that they have incorpated the hoops, but i love the old badge.
this one seems a little bit to 'showy' to me, and why mess with a badge/lettering that has worked for years!
the great paul parker stated that " the historical links are embodied within the design of the crest, and the flamboyance and style points towqrds an exciting future for this great football club"
(though i agree with the last four words of that sentence....)
God, that looks a bit regal - are they going to be renamed Royal Queens Park Rangers next?
