Q.I. A show worth watching?

Does anyone agree with me that I can see Stephen Fry in later years becoming a ready made replacement for the badly missed Peter Ustinov?
He was a wit and very intelligent and just listening to him talk was wonderful. I get the same feeling about Stephen.

i know what you mean but can't help feeling Ustinov had a broader life, one that reached far beyond simply being a very witty and erudite TV face. his bizarre cosmopolitan background, the wealth of knowledge, his amazing life.. Fry would i'm sure be equally wonderful with that kind of life behind him but he hasn't really travelled terribly far outside the rarified atmosphere of the London culturati, if you see what i mean.

i LOVED Ustinov.

No, he's just a posh twat, nothing more. He's amusing, and really jolly clever, but the sad old coot doesn't even dare talk about most of his life, apart from the lovely bits. There's life beyond London, he needs to learn.

Try his autobiog of his early days, 'Moab Is My Washpot'. More than just the 'lovely bits' in there.
