Putting long hair up?

Its easier to do things with it when its not really clean eh...

Maybe your hair is in good nick because you dont dry it? I generally always dry it but since I gave up hot brushing it the condition is much better...

I'm just lazy tbh, I don't want to spend too much time on it. My hairdresser despairs when I tell her about the Head and Shoulders thing because it's so harsh. I know I'm lucky, I just have to keep reminding myself of that when I spend a small fortune every 6 weeks or so on hair dye and layering :D

When the back of my head gets to 95% grey, I'm going to have a silver spikey crop and save shitloads of money  Ain't going well atm though, it's a proper mess if I can't afford the hairdressers.

What I've found really helps with that is conditioning twice each time you wash your hair. It's like the first conditioning gets most of the tangles out, giving you access to the rest of the hair for the second conditioning. Just condition it once, and you don't get to all the hair. Or, at least, that's my theory on why it works, because it really does work.

Yep, you're probably right. I just can't be arsed with anything that takes more than 5 minutes to do though. Plus sitting in front of the PC, detangling knots is quite therapeutic :D

Actually, Eva - that YouTube tutorial woman might be a help, even if you're not after retro hairdos she demonstrates some nice techniques for putting hair up. I really like the Rosie the Riveter one - she shows you how to pin a high pony up in all these curls and that would stop the weight of your hair dragging your head back from one point.

she's inspired me :D cheers madusa

They are rather inspiring. I like the way life's going on in the background while she makes her video - TV still on, bloke walking past. :D Maybe she does her hair like that just to pop down the shops. :D

she's so immaculate - I'd probably look like I'd shat on my head if I tried that but by gum I'm going to try! (the hairstyle - not shitting on my head)

How about something like this?

that's really pretty.

I wish I could wash my hair twice a week. I've tried to cut down the amount of washes but it just ends up greasy and manky looking after a couple of days. :(
The more you wash it, the more you need to wash it. Try rinsing it without using any soap. Go as long as you can bear without using shampoo and then just use the minimum needed to take the surface grease out.

We could have a "favourite baldy (ahem, follicly challenged* poll and see if buttons comes out on top

below Yul of course ;)
