in one respect it could be good to go and watch a load of middle class and the police have a fight, which side are you? me nither oh what joy to see the middle class get a beating, and what joy to see the police get one likewise, this is all i can see in this otherwise what is the point?

To carry a spoof placard made of a collage of newspaper headlines that reads something along the lines of "Bad stuff is happening - you're paying for it!"

Also, if the Unions and so on get lots of middle class (= ordinary people with jobs and families) people turning up who don't usually go out on demonstrations, most will be ordinary, older people who probably aren't eligible to be classified as "totty!" Your hunt may be in vain.
 
It can't be a bad thing for people to take an interest.The past thirty years seem the have taken to steam out of people.whether it is affective are really down down to the individual taking part.If they think it worthwhile then to them it was
