pushing daisies itv1

I've heard he actually had half America believing he is American. Apparently when he gave his acceptance speeach for his first major award for House, a lot of people including actors were taken by surprise when he spoke with a British accent.

Yeah! I've heard that.
Just bizarre.
I suppose growing up with Hugh Laurie (not literally) means I can't take him seriously with a fake accent, however 'good' it's supposed to be. Dunno.

Yeah, but which episode!?...

I didn't watch the show, but this afternoon it was being reviewed on Radio 5 and they mentioned what this ITV press release seems to confirm:

Or is this some kind of a wind-up?

afraid not , thing is ep 2 is probaby the best of the series so if u can try and get it by other means ;-)

its also pretty crucial to the plot , itv havent got a clue

i cant understand why they couldnt have made last weeks a double ep , i mean what was on after ? ' american pie ' its not like they haent shown that at least 5 times before..........

Oh that's crap. They're missing out episode 2 because of the Euro 2008 scheduling.

How many episodes are there? Is it another series like 'lost' when it goes on for so long I lose the plot in more ways than one?

It was easy to watch but also easy to get distracted so probably won't be viewing again.

It makes absolutely no sense, according to the Saturday overnight ratings Pushing Daisies got 5.7 million viewers and a 24.7% share, then the first hour of American Pie got 1.8m and a 10% share. They should have showed the first 2 eps as a double bill and built it up as an event, which often seems to happen when a new US series starts anyway, such as Heroes on BBC2, 24 on BBC2 and Sky, and Lost on C4.

No wonder ITV's share price is in the gutter

9 for this season ( due to the writers strike ) but another series has been commisioned

I love the way the narrator introduces each new character with e.g. "He'd been alive for 27 years, 4 months, 3 weeks, 2 days 14 hours and 6 minutes" - every one right down to the minute - crazy !
