And when it came out it felt so new and colourful and different and fun.

Even though everyone's copied the style since and now it feels common and ordinary.

With most films I have one or two favourite bits, but with Tarantino's I tend to have about 30 per film.

watched them both recently. was reminded of Pulp Fictions greatness - especially towards the scene-stealing bits with eric stoltz and harvey keitel towards the end. I thought true romance on the other hand, was absolutely crap, and did when it first came out too.

You fucking what, love? True Romance is my favorite film :(

i do think that in PF with Uma Thurman's character, Quentin Tarantino does the: 'Hey, I'm a geek-writing-super-slick-scripts-for-women' a bit OTT! so its slightly affected, like Woody Allen does (and probably meant to be). Uma still does a great job though.

What's with this attitude? If I don't like something I'm being "difficult", "elitist", "snobby". I just don't fecking like it.

Some people are still in that juvenile phase where you just cant believe that someone doesnt love your favourite band/movie/book as you do and have to put it down to them pretending not to like it to get at them.

I do know what you mean.
But overall he does write fantastic films/roles for the ladies.

When I was younger the only cool women I wanted to be in movies were her out of Aliens and her out of Terminator 2.
Now we have, well, all of Uma's roles.

He flipping loves her, innit.
