Public Enemy to perform 'It Takes A Nation...' in it's entirety!

cool i might actually go out somewhere other than the local:) and im seeing dubbledge in ipswich later this month

A mate and I were stood behind this long line of black yoots at that gig, rhyming along to Chuck D and they were all like 'WTF is this band'

I remember jumping around like a fucking loon when they where playing...I looked around me and everyone was standing still.

idiots! :D

A great Lp and they were good live in the early '90's. Don't know about now though. With this/Bunnymen/MBV/Liquid Swords it feels like a nostalgia fest.

Is the sound at Bristol any good?

I've not been there in years (-I don't often go to big venues), so I'll leave that judgement to other more regular Academy goers. I remember not really liking the venue myself though; overall impression for me was that it felt like a bit of an aircraft hangar. (-But maybe that's just me... :o)

I'm fairly sure the Bristol gig is about £10 cheaper than the London one though (-but I'm guessing that this'll mean there won't be the same stellar support line-up as London?).

Support is supposed to be on all dates

When you say 'all' dates, you mean all the three ATP/Don't Look Back ones, right?...

*takes deep breath*

The Brixton/Manchester/Glasgow gigs are promoted by ATP/Don't Look Back and have that full support line-up, whereas the Bristol (21st) and Nottingham (28th) dates appear to be promoted by DHP and (-so far) I've seen no mention of any support for those two. (-I expect there'll be some support, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's the same as the ATP/Don't Look Back ones.)

I assume that would at least partly account for the different/cheaper price for the Bristol and Nottingham gigs (£18.50).

(??)

:)

Apols if this has already been mentioned elsewhere, but does anyone know how much the Brixton gig is? From the above I'm assuming it's going to be in region of £28?

Ahh - just looked at the linky £27.50 per ticket +b/f...

Add in the booking fees etc and I don't think I'll be getting much change from £70 for two tix. Am on a bit of a budget this month, but they won't be on sale for long, eh?

:(

Hope this is not considered bad form but I have four tickets for this gig - but my chums and I are unfortunately not able to go...because of wedding duties. Would anyone care to purchase them? Would do them for 25 quid each which is a bit less than face value...

PM me if interested.
