Psychobilly Classics

Is this Psychobilly? (sounds like 60s garage but there's a few quiffs knocking around)

The Ep of the same tracks is lurking in the dark corners of my 7" collection somewhere

I can bear the odd Demented Are Go and Meteors song but the only band i could listen to for more than a couple are the Peacocks

oh man, four on 4 - I've got that somewhere too.

that's a great old clip, Billy Childish looks so young

that stuff was considered Psychobilly at the time, or part of the same scene but, as you say, it was more 60's garage than rockabilly.

here's another cracker from the same time -
looks kind of dated and cheap (in a bad way) in the actual song section but the film bits that bookend it are really high quality and look dated (in a good way) - especially for an indie effort at the time.

also there's the Quatermass obsession, which popped up on that Mount Vernon Arts lab record you were liking Jefe....

a lot of old stuff from then is coming back to me at the moment - is that just me or is it a general thing?

we're way off topic now.....let's keep wandering.....:D

Nice! I wouldn't call this Psychobilly though (except for the Sting-rays). Interesting to see a young Tracey Emin grooving down the front to the Milkshakes and smirking at Childish & Co's dreary banter (my favourite Childish band are Thee Headcoats esp the stuff they did with The Downliner's Sect)

I've got my headcoat on! Griselda

here's another cracker from the same time -
