Protecting a surface from the depredations of toddlers!

A nice slippery piece of glass laid on the top should solve the problem. One way or another

LOL :D

:o

Covering the top's all very well and I do hate to be the voice of doom here but I can see you delightful people repairing the top, putting the perfect child-safe surface protector on top of it and then coming in to find the toddler practicing his or her carpentry skills on the legs, or drawing something on it, or scratching a line on it for every day and an extra long one on Sundays I'm afraid to break it to you but unless it lives elsewhere its days are numbered. The table of course\. The toddler will go on forever.

Agreed. There is nothing childproof, children are ingenious.:hmm:

Never mind, think of the embarassment (in years to come) you'll be able to give your teenager when they bring girlfriends/boyfriends home and you point at "the mark of the very first time he/she used a fork/played with a car/held a felt tip... bless.":D
