Well I must have missed the other poll but how have Soft Machine ended up in this list - I wouldn't call them prog at all. The hallmark of prog was the attempt to incorporate elements from classical music to try to push the boundaries of rock, often with hilarious consequences. Soft Machine were influenced by jazz and fusion more than classical - just because they came from Canterbury doesn't make them prog.The highest scorers will join Yes, Genesis, ELP, Camel, Soft Machine, & The Enid for the mighty poll of polls.
