Tanky and i (and half the audience) were there for the final encore which he did when the lights had already come on.

all night long the man was on fire, mischeivous and playful. we had brilliant seats, the lights were brilliant, the band were brilliant, his dancing was brilliant, his dancers were brilliant, we were brilliant.

it was just fucking brilliant.

Fuck sake, I can't believe I'm defending Elton "Goodbye England's Rose..." John BUT I saw him live three years ago and he was fucking great. A bit old and rubbish last night though I agree. They should have done one of Elt's old belters "Philadelphia Freedom" or "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting".

Prince, on the other hand, was as magnificent as I'd hoped he'd be.
