Out of interest, what music do you like wishface?

i like many styles and many musicians, lsting them all would be long winded and pointless. I don't like Prince; i find he hides behond an image. I find him to be precocious and tedious and I find his music to be rather dull. Slave, indeed. A very well off 'slave'.

I dunno - Springsteen's latest is a bit of a cracker (and I'm by no means a Springsteen anorak). He could have been a total stadium cock-rocker coasting on his greatest hits by now (See Rod,Elton etc) , but he has tried different stuff over the years. (I think his sudden taste of cock-rock in the mid-eighties put him off for good)

Jacko however......well, I'd never rule him out entirely, but he seems so totally divorced from reality that it's fairly safe to say he's lost it.

Mystified by Prince's motives here - just when he needs to be building relationships with his fans, he's doing the exact opposite. One of the dangers of being a control freak, I suppose - nobody close to you who can say "FFS, don't be a twat"

Each to their own. The gig was great IMO, very "American" and polished with several cheesy moments, which is not normally my thing, but it was great. He's a consumate musician, great singer and dancer and an amazing showman.

I don't find his music to be of any value at all. It's all been done bfore and better. I find it formulaic in the extreme: he isnt doing anything new or interesting to me. Crappy and svacuous lyrics with tired musical cliches. Just because he plays all the intruments himself (for the most part) doesn't make the music any mre appealing for me. The fact that he hides behind a silly image and a strange ego just makes him all the more unappealing.
