Harman has been ultra-loyal and trotted out repeatedly on recent days to defend Brown, I can't see her doing a volte face.

I reckon Miliband major won't go near it after the debacle last year, and minor is too minor right now - he's got plenty of time anyway if that's an ambition.

Don't know much about Straw.

My understanding is that Johnson is fairly well liked and respected. I work a lot with people in health and he seems to have built a solid reputation there in the last couple of years.

That would be a fundamentally more honest position from the politicians. If they are that fucking bothered about the squaddies then don't send them Helmand to get blown up in the first place.

I didn't really need to bring my A game to be honest - I just needed to have come across silly little boys of your kind since before you were born. No credit due, as indeed none is due to yourself of course.

You seem to be suggesting that troops shouldn't fight at all. Afghanistan is either a worthwhile action in which commitment is needed and sacrifices must be borne, or it isn't.
