No no he isn't. You can buy newborn ones from mothercare (and other places) they can't reach them but they do like to look at them (A lot of them are musical also for babies). Or you could just get a 'normal' one that hangs from the ceilings. Newborns can't do much cept look at stuff - honestly!

a pamper day at a spa and the offer of an all day babysit while they go and enjoy
similarly a theatre voucher, dinner voucher etc etc with the sprog sitting thrown in.
My olds did that when my daughter was about 2 weeks old so we could go and celebrate ourselves.
