Preparing for winter

Hollis

bloody furious
So, having shivered through 5 miserable months of bleakness last year, and been cold this morning I now intend to get my act together:

Actions:

1. New electric blanket covering the full fuck off bed -
2. Blankets
3. A selection of thermal microlite garments for the evenings
4. Ensure every light works - to keep the spirits up.

I am going to take no shite. Maybe those use to living in Arctic conditions could please assist with their advice.

Central heating is a no-go.. it doesn't work well enough.

Another important accessory for you, Hollis.

How about one of those electric radiators I sometimes see in B&Q. As I understand, they don't put out dry heat like a fan and you can set the thermostat to a min - obviously they're room specific so ideal for a bedroom, maybe.

It's important to cultivate a decent layer of blubber when preparing for hibernation, I've found. I've been working on mine for 39 years now and I confidently predict that it will see me through Winter in fine style.

you wanna be eating shit loads to insulate yourself through winter.......... I'm very rarely cold

Winter can go and shit itself in a public place where eveyone knows what it did.

(Looking forward to my second best friend.....Autumn.)

But hanging on to the dregs of Summer to whom i apologise for not making the most of,...............AGAIN.)

I have put most of my energy this year into trying to put myself in a better place when Winter comes to visit, for the most part i have succeeded.
When i think about where i was last November and where i am now,i need to say WOW,more often.
(Just small achievements in the big scheme of things.)

The clocks will go back soon..........
(Stop all the clocks !)

I dread it.

What am i trying to say ?

I think it's this;
I want to try and welcome Winter but...........
