Prep me for a Judas Priest concert lol

Can I have your ticket :D. I love Priest, saw them in Hamemrsmith a few years back and hopefully going to see them when they do a US tour.

You'll love it, it will be a good laugh, espeically when Halford rides his Harley onto stage in his jacket with all the metal hanging of it (looks like a cutlery set stuck to him).
Nowt like a good bit of Brummy Metal :D.

You can have my ticket, but it's kinda a date thingy. :o Maybe he should get dumped already for taking me there! :D

I'm sure it'll be a good show when all is said and done........

judas priest for a date

this guy is a badass

:D

So we went and we saw... got there quite pissed up so we missed Testament who were first up on the bill. Oh well.

However got there for Megadeth and I have to say, I rather quite enjoyed their set. Sweaty air guitar and syncronised hair swinging and head banging while some anonymous person's spliffs were passed around for consumption is definitely my idea of a good time.

Then we had Judas Priest. As posters have said on this thread, there was a *bit* of a spectacle as far as yeah, Halford brings out a throne for one song, and rides onto stage on a niiiice Harley D chopper and sits on it and sings for another song. And all his metalic swing jackets changes we quite comical but have to say, their music is SHITE! And boring. :D Spent most of their set gazing adoringly at all the long haired spanish fitties that were all around me. Heaven! Shame the soundtrack sucked. :D

Overall, was an entertaining evening though.

I love that sort of shit.

Heavy Metal Parking Lot is all the prep you need.

YES. A fantastic documentary.

There's that girl who says something like: "-Rob Halford? Yeah, I'd jump his bones!..."

I love this scene best though:

ha, ha! I'll have to tell Kenny about this thread. He'll be sick he missed a chance to try to convert someone to the Priesthood! Just don't get him going on Rollins...fanboy bore! We went to a Priest gig on his 30th in the US. He did the whole US tour. Nutter.

Metal? Bah! :D

OMG! Once was enough!

The first & ONLY time I saw Judas Priest.. I was "still" wearing shorts & Jesus Sandals, both voluntarily & fashionably for my age...then...I'd randomly hitched a lift to and back with some bikers..it was a daytime gig... I don't remember much of it tbh I know I was still at Primary school..lots of Birmingham bags plus plywood soled and segged shoes... I remember that.... and not being believed when I said where I'd been when I got back later that evening.........days before pedomadness eh? :hmm: never felt the urged to do Metal...ever again. :D

I'm back!

lol at thread.

@jen - ahem. No names, hon!

@ All - it's 'Priest', not 'The Priest'.

And all the dates on the UK tour this year were groovetastic.

I'll be off to Japan if the business doesn't implode first.

All!
