predictions then (Eng vs Germany)

Fifteen minutes of good football from England, a lapse or two, and then a miserable second half. Par for the course really. God help us against Israel and Russia.

My thoughts exactly, an atrocious second half. Beckham looked exhausted and as for Dyer...oh dear. This was a very ordinary German side too.

England were absolutely shit in the second half.

Agreed.

Why put your most effective attacking option in a position where he can not run and get forward?

Wes brown could have played at centre back!?

The thing that not surprisingly, Motson and the inept Lawrenson didn't pick up on was just how shocking and how much of a liability Joe Cole was to England. When JC left the pitch - Lawrenson was saying what a great match he had!!!!!!

Since when was losing the ball countless times in midfield and putting pressure on your defence and goalkeeper having a good game????

Sure, he looked lively in the first five minutes, but who lost the ball for England's first goal? And who lost the ball a few minutes later and conceded a free kick, where Germany nearly scored a second?

om not happy. First and last winners at wembly. Tis a disgrace.
C'mon, what else did you think would happen?. :D

England were very poor - they had a lot of first choice players out there apart from the forwards and they couldn't beat a Germany C team.

Oh dear, oh dear.

Richards was very good, Lampard okay, Beckham was Beckham. The rest...cut out the dead wood. The defence wasn't too bad and is solid enough.

Robinson needs competition...and not from David James. Midfield - usualy English thing of a lack of pace, lack of decent first tough, lack of vision, lack of creativity.

Strikers: Owen is a shadow of the player he was. Smith isn't international class, Crouch is as much of a liability as he is an option.

What the fuck was that holding role rant to legend Alan Hansen about?
I've no idea. He's obviously never heard of McKay, Gerson, Bremner, Hoddle, Desailly, Deschamps, Dunga, Ince and Keane.

Also, did I miss the passing of the law through Parliment which made it illegal to substitute David Beckham?

No, terry at fault for both goals.

They had a champions league winner sat on the bench, though apparently he's only there because some completely unproven mook who's played for such illustrious clubs as 'racing club warwick', 'tivertown town', 'stafford rangers', 'kidderminster harriers' and 'wrexham' is injured.

As you allude to, james might have had one good season but he's hardly the future.

Only decent striker England have got.
