Back in Brixton after 5 years away and Poundland is a shadow of its glorious self. Is this a nationwide thing or just this branch?
Particularly interested in the diy stuff.

Are there alternatives nowadays. I’m finding the hardware shops to be high multiples the price

There is a bigger Poundland at Camberwell in Butterfly Walk (ie the Morissons precinct).
Opposite the Poundland is one of those "everything within" Asian hardware shops which looks potentially quite cheap.
Maybe East Brixton is where its at?

The diy shop where Coldharbour meets Denmark hill is my go-to.

It's a nationwide thing for Poundland, I believe but others have taken up the baton. That's also a quid and can be found with the toys and games.

I’m quite a fan of the Regal Home Store in Brixton Road.
