Possible "Wholesome" Jan 2nd Walkies??

I slept in. :( However, I didn't get to bed after getting home from Unsound until midnight last night.

We're not going to go as my mum needs some help with building a chest of drawers, also I doubt it that the little one would have coped with a 6 mile walk... We shall be having a shorter walk in Hampstead though!

Have a lovely walk everyone! :)

top walk!

It was ace! Y'all were missed. But we still had a good turnout (6), considering it's the day after NY's day.

All I can say is - WELL DONE and THANX to Hollis for organizing this, you are fab (and hardcore - esp after your sleep deprivation) :D

It was beautiful - the Chiltern hills around Princes Risborough and Wendover are dramatic, lots of views over the distant horizon and muddy woods to yomp through

Going past Chequers was pretty surreal when the security camera zoomed round to follow us walking past.

There was a lovely moment on a very big hill when kids were letting their red balloons with messages tied onto them into the sky....ahhh :)

Me and the Janster deffo want to organize a London one soon...is there a free slot any time before the summer?! :D

great summary of a great way to start the new year!

Happy 2006 again to everyone.

Nice one Hollis, nice one son!

Lovely views and a great way of seeing in the new year, hardcore walker stylee.

thanks for organising this hollis, and for the description han... couldn't have put it better myself!
:)
A lovely outdoor start to 2006....
some pics on flickr (but it's a bit weird at the mo' - v busy with post New Years pics I guess...)

Sorry I didn't make this, woke up at 10 and knew I wouldn't make it.

Looks wonderful, have done part of this walk before, defintely recognise the place with the memorial and the balloons, there are amazing views from there. Did Hollis get lost at all?

Not really. I made use of all resources.

Sure looks like a beaut walk. :)

I could hardly hobble up the stairs while you lot were in the country so I would've been bloody useless if I managed to drag myself out of bed in time. :o
