Posh pop up restaurant suspends diners 100ft in the air

This was up on groupon for £75 the other day. I've passed it a couple of times and it's seemed to be full each time so I guess they managed to sell some tickets. They've set it up on Wood Wharf so your view west is just of the office blocks of Canary Wharf rather then into the city. I guess you'd maybe see the Olympic park, Greenwich and the Millennium Dome but it isn't all that high - 5 stories at most I'd say so you'd get a better view in any of the surrounding buildings.

It probably creates a good atmosphere, which you'd need to counter not being able to get too pissed in such a setting.

Most of the tickets for these things go to 'influential food bloggers' & industry types, in the (usually forlorn) hope of creating a buzz. Don't think I've heard of anyone actually paying anywhere near full whack for a ticket.

the chairs probably have littles hatches that swing open and allow for the necessary deposits to fall .....hitting lower mortals squarely in their upturned faces. Thereby reinforcing the whole "us..them" cultural theme that such ostentatiously expensive and ludicrous crapology promotes.
