Pompey 09/10 - Champions(hip) League here we come!

Our owners who've put us into 'administration' (which is dodgy as FUCK tbh, Chainrai pretty much owns our Administrator) are just seeking to further asset strip us. Administrator's aiming to ship out 10 players, another 10 due to end of contract and - get this - buy a new team in on free transfers.

How's that not our former owner awaiting parachute payments to line his pockets? :D

I bet arry redknapp makes a killing from the free transfers in and out.

I reckon we should grab finnan off you for fuck all.

I was amazed to hear on the TV that Portsmouth have now played 4 times at (New) Wembley and haven't conceded a goal during the matches - only in the penalty shoot-out with ManU.

Are Chelsea worried by that ?

According to Football 365 they owe Spurs £1m as part of the transfer of a player who was NEVER a Spurs player !

How the fuck does that work ?

Indeed. Redknapp must surely bear a large part of the responsibility for that.
How so? I thought the Chief Exec and Chairman were in charge of contracts?

It seems to be true that what cost Pompey too much was winning the FA Cup - the contractual bonuses. But that just demonstrates how perverse were the contracts, it's a bit daft to blame the team manager for being successful.

I do think that the team manager bears at least SOME responsibility for ensuring that he doesn't buy players whose transfer fees and wages the club simply can't afford.

As much as I would love it to be true I think Storrie et al bear much more responsibilty than Bungpuss.

Altho him and Storrie are quite cosy (guess who was chief exec of west ham when harry was there), so who knows? Harry, Storrie and McKay could definitely cause some damage.

I found it quite strange to hear that an agent would be paid over £2 million for a bungpuss transfer. Whatever next? ;)

Storrie's Wiki is quite interesting...

His move from Notts County to Portsmouth was the source of some controversy. On the recommendation of manager Harry Redknapp — his former West Ham United colleague — he initially took up a role at Portsmouth on a job share basis in early 2002, helping to review the club's infrastructure and organisation.[7][8][9] He eventually joined Portsmouth permanently in late February 2002 as Chief Executive, replacing Martin Murphy after his 12 months at the club in the process.[10]

Storrie was arrested on 28 November 2007 — along with Harry Redknapp, Mandaric, agent Willie McKay and former Portsmouth player Amdy Faye — over allegations of corruption.[9][12] Charges over tax evasion were brought against him on 4 November 2009.

 :D
