Because they're a religion. Fucking hell, how difficult is it?

I noticed to prove your point you only quoted a bit of what I said, ever thought of working for Saatchi & saatchi

To explain it in play school terms how can a religion that shares anti-religion qualities complain about anti-relgious lyrics

Dubversion hates the Beatles!

Go on, Dub, tell us a song by a Beatle you do like! I think you're just pissed off you're too young to understand.:D

What is "anti-religion" about Christianity? Almost every religion throughout history has had death and the nature of suffering (along with the accompanying symbolism) playing a major role.

If Satanism is about largely about death and destruction and Christianity the same and Satanism is amorel and anti-religious then there are great similarities, you are right about every religion having suffering and death as parts of their theological output but none more than Christianity, its central symbol of christ on the cross is about suffering and death.

Satanism is not anti-religious, it is a religion itself, and it's certainly not all about death and destruction, it's actually largely about hedonism, egotism and selfishness. Similarly Christianity is not all about death and destruction, Christ's sacrifice was the final proof of God's supremacy via his ultimate victory over death and resurrection. All terrible bollocks, of course, but if you're going to critique religion, at least get it right.

Further, even if the first part of your argument were true, the conclusion doesn't follow, even if Christianity and Satanism had certain characteristics and Satanism were anti-religious, it would not necessarily be so that Christianity was anti-religious.

you are right about every religion having suffering and death as parts of their theological output but none more than Christianity, its central symbol of christ on the cross is about suffering and death.
See my earlier paragraph, the crucifix is a symbol of victory over death, not a symbol of death itself per se.

If you hate the beatles you hate music.
did someone say that once or has it just popped into my head?
anyway, where would music be without lennon and macartney?
anyone who thinks we'd have been better off without them is a total fuckwit.

If you hate the beatles you hate over-rated badly thoughtout over-simplistic passionless music for people with no emotional depth.

You know what, I could take that argument to bits without even trying, but you're clearly such a fucking imbecile it's not worth even the small amount of effort involved. Feel free to like the Beatles if you must, but that post is specious, feebleminded shit of the worst kind.

I remember at primary school we used to listen to a radio programme called, I think, "Singing Together". You got a book with it, with the notation for chime bars. The idea was to learn folk songs suitable for kids from all over the world. Often with an easily digested moral in the lyrics. Then at the end you'd vote for the one from Scotland. But the one from England always won. Any one else my age remember that?

Anyway, Imagine would have sat well with those songs.

You obviously know so much more about everything than I do so I'll bow to your vastly superiour knowledge and leave it at that. :)

Well, that's progress of a sort. Admitting you're an idiot is the first step. :)
