You seem to be operating under the following assumptions, I wonder if you'd be good enough to confirm you are, and offer an explanation or evidence to back up your assumptions:

1) The large policing operation planned for Sunday is not justified

2) The police contacted the media to inform them of the operation, rather than the media requesting information from the police

2. I've said all along I've no idea how the statement was presented. However, you've been insistent that the media contacted the police, yet your refusal to back up that claim leads me to assume that you made it up.

Add that to the fact not once have you accepted even the possibility of this being a media construct

(Also, my previous point still stands, the absence of a press release IS evidence that the media were the ones who obtained, rather than were provided, with the information, whether you think that was the case or not)

Been lurking on this one, ill be around with camera on sunday as per norm, i agree with much of what you have said here to be frank, haveing been about other times when they have come to Sheffield all i can add is wtf?

Anyway, I heard the match is getting called off and Cardiff fans are to be advised not to travel on Sunday. Apparently Hillsborough has been confirmed as the source of the recent Swine Flu pandemic and is, along with all W*dnesday fans, being put into quarantine
