I thought this was a game where kids hit something hanging from a tree and then it bursts and the scramble for sweets.
Is that something else?

How can people say that polenta is duller than quinoa? Quinoa is something you'd only eat if there is nothing else. Which is why is so popular in the very bleak bits of the altiplano.
I'd rather eat polenta (and it is quite grim)
He was very polite about the incident
gaijingirl said:I love polenta - it's so incredibly versatile - gorgeous with some fresh herbs stirred in and/or butter and some kind of cheese - then cooled in a baking dish and grilled - YUM! Or sometime I use the cooled base and top it with roasted veg in a tomato sauch - sort of like a pizza meets lasagne type affair - but much healthier.
The best thing about polenta is that all the local shops sell it and it's dirt cheap!!

The world is divided into countries where "peasant" is a term of abuse (England) and those where it is a badge of pride (e.g. France).
Simple.
Until it comes to Chiantishire wannabes trying to foist their misunderstood parody of "paysan" on us. With their bloody wallpaper paste.

PieEye said:so which is right?
I hope it's not keen-wah - makes me sound like a seagull![]()
http://books.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=1398&page=149In the altiplano especially, quinoa (pronounced keen-wa or kee-noo-ah) is still a staple.
PieEye said:I'm going with the second one then
Can't believe you went off to find that out!![]()
