You can see why man utd were desperate to land Sanchez. He will do well at Bayern mourinho would have burnt him out.

We don't know the poster's nationality there. I can imagine tennis being an early adopter of it though. Not football before ten years ago though. Not by a Briton. It was always attached to an "on" wasn't it?

Sanches has been one of the big stories of the past couple of days in the build up to the game. It's all happening for him. He's from a tough neighbourhood and didn't want to leave his local club at first I remember reading. He didn't like crossing town.

I think the evidence is inadmissible on account of the subject calling Wimbledon 'wimby'

    objection sustained.

I think "Go on, Rochdale!" has spawned "Go Rochdale!" over recent years. I bet you never hear the latter shouted at Spotland but you might see it written, with a hint of irony perhaps.

Portugal to scab it. Hope I'm wrong.

The way they say that type of "O" in Rochdale is possibly the longest of any accent in Britain. It'll take them 15 seconds to get it "Gooooooorrr Rochdaaaaaale" out.

You don't want an argument but you'll just start nitpicking away in the hope of finding one, yes? :D The phrase was in use at least 16 years ago. Deal with it. ;)

Half time and in Portuguese tv - a Christian Ronaldo advert for shampoo. Just finished the roast choriso , ten mins into second half should see the barbecue chicken come out .
