There's nothing wrong with like minded people gathering together to have a bit of fun - it helps us to sustain cultures of resistance - okay so it may be lifestylist and hedonistic but it's a damn sight better than spending the weekend at the local retail park buying garden furniture!!!!!

I don't think anyone for a moment is suggesting it's revolutionary to have a 'party in the park', picnic, festival or whatever...but there's a time to dance and there's a time to fight, but if you can dance and have fun under an anti-war banner or for some other progressive cause then surely that forms an intergral part of any counter culture or progressive social movement.

The pointless picnic is still going strong, the Americans make up most of it's membership these days. I hope, eventually, it becomes bigger than religion, like a church with no roof, walls or dogma. The attraction seems to be, everyone likes lounging around the sun and eating tastey food with tastey people to talk to.

We need solidarity amongst good people, otherwise we'll all be fucked over by the sicko gits.
