Please forgive me for I have sinned

If they fit and they're comfy, then why do you care what others think so much?

Have you seen a whole group of people wearing crocs (the colg ones)? I saw loads of people wearing them in Cornwall even two of my mates and their Mum all had them. A couple had his and hers on the beach....it gets a bit much :D

I dunno what those ones are (only seen the ones that first ever came out); and no, not seen a whole group of people wearing them all together... but fuck it, if they're comfy wear em - no worse than a whole bunch of people wearing all the same reebok classics eh? :)

and WAAAAAY more comfortable than flip-flops. i don't have a very big gap between my first two toes, and normal flip-flops hurt...a LOT :(

even though they weigh zero. it still feels like you have something under foot. with that slight heel. perfect for standing around in. as ya do.

I can't find them in my size in black. Everywhere seems sold out. I went for the other mary janes in the end, they look like a cross between those cloggy ones and those above. Not remarkably stylish but not quite as clunky as the others. I can also see possibilities for those ones you posted rubbing the back of my ankles.

*stabs evil feet with sharp things*

I quite like the look of the other ones you're getting now I've had a look round these ones I think

They look a bit dodgy from the side, but fine from above, which is the only way I'll ever see them so that's ok :D I'm hoping they aren't too slim-fitting, otherwise they'll just rub like every other pair of shoes I own.

I got these sandals (wearing 'em at the mo, seem comfy enough, although a touch too narrow):

Fine for wandering to the park in the sun with my cropped jeans.

I bought some Merrell Chameleon sandals and managed to wear them for 200 yards before my feet were bleeding  And they are supposed to be for people who need comfy shoes.

Did you wear them with socks? I can only wear mine with socks otherwise my little toes get rubbed to fuck :(

No. I wore them out of the shop when I bought them, and socks wouldn't have complimented my outfit. :D

They rubbed in several places: on the outer side of my arch underneath where the central strap attaches to the footbed, and either side of my ankle (on both feet) where the back strap touched my ankle bones. I had to hobble to the nearest loos to change back to my trainers. They don't look worn so hopefully I'll be able to return them (even though they know I left the shop wearing them). I'm sad though, because I think they look great. :(

this sounds like me, we need blokes merrells love :)

my mens merrell trainers are like a glove  the womens just pinch in the spots you mention

the same with my merrell sandals too :(

I have crocs in a flipflop stylee (athens in black). They're comfy and bouncy. They're also fine in wet weather unlike most slipflops... :)
I even wear them at home and I love my bare feet.

I've just had a look online and they are available in a 6. I'll take mine back in the week and try on the men's version. I hope they'll take them back - they look fine underneath, just like they've been worn around the shop a bit. They'll probably be more amenable if I want to swap for another pair.

Thanks for the advice :)

I have very high arches and found my crocs less comfortable last year the more I wore them - I also had the Mary Jane / crossed with the croc front ones - didn't feel they gave me enough support. I also found them very slippery when they got wet, dangerously so at one point when they squooshed when I was hurrying to get across a road. Have gone back into birkies for this summer -although they take some breaking in they are the only sandals I've ever had that support my arches properly

this is true too, though. I also found that they exacerbated my back pain.

I will be wearing them this year - but mostly i will be rotating between all my pairs of 3-strap birkies. Much better arch support and prettier patterns.
