Playing for Children

Well, that was one of the most fun DJ slots I’ve ever had.

The kids knew their music and getting them dancing wasn’t a problem at all. They were all into R ’n B and Rap. I had to borrow quite a few CDs, as I don’t own much of either.

Stuff like LL Cool J and Beyonce went down the best. I had quite a little fan club crowding round the decks in no time. I even played around with the scratch facility that the decks have only for a small child tell me to stop, as he believed it scratched the CDs. I told him know it doesn’t, only for him to reply, “Yes it does, that’s why the button is called scratch!” Fair enough really.

Great night! Esp. when all the kids were saying I was much better than the guy the school normally gets in. :D
