Overestimated player in my opinion. Apart from that Greece game.

The Greece game he was like a man possessed, especially the second half. I think his passing ability and workrate sets him apart from other midfielders of his generation though. He played a game for England (think it was against Wales) in a role just in front of the back four and behind 2 central midfielders. He saw so much of the ball he was spraying it around everywhere. The position really utlilised his passing and vision. I think he should have had more games in that role, really suited his attributes. He's just such a fantastc crosser of a football it's always tempting to keep him out wide right. Bit like left footed players always get shunted off to play left wing!

Ji Sung Park might have been a bit part player last year but the two seasons before that he played more than a bit part.

The notion of Carrick as a bit part player is just fucking absurd though.

And I'm laughing at you being an Arsenal fan because Carrick and Park helped demolish Arsenal over two legs in Europe.

And you are entitled not to get Diaby all you want, after all he hasn't played a central role in an Arsenal side that has won 3 league titles back to back, and reached two Champions League finals back to back.
