no its cos we went through a really shit period and throughout he was one of the only one who showed some passion and commitment, which is why he for me is just above Ethan this time.

yeah which i said earlier.... but what Nyren showed in that period is what makes him first choice imo.On the other hand. A major reason we went through a shit period was that Ethan was missing...and because of bibs.![]()
Fair enough, that's a valid enough reason. Just wanted to make sure no one thought "Well, I would have voted for Ethan but he missed too many games while injured" when Nyren missed a similar number of games when injured, but much earlier in the season, which some may now have forgotten about.yeah which i said earlier.... but what Nyren showed in that period is what makes him first choice imo.
Was definitely Ethan last season, think it was Erhun for each of the previous two.My memory is terrible - Ethan won last year right? What about seasons before that? Erhun must have done
Ethan Pinnock for me. I fear he'll be gone before long.
makes Messi look shite.Nyren Clunis.
I thought it was because of toffons...On the other hand. A major reason we went through a shit period was that Ethan was missing...and because of bibs.![]()
I blame whoever started the "He plays on the left, he plays on the right" song for putting ideas into Gavin's head.Ethan for me. Nyren's been too ineffective when he's played out on the left (not his fault of course).
If Gavin really starts basing his decisions on songs from the crowd, I am very much looking forward to the exhumation of Edgar Kail so that he can resume his Hamlet career, and a couple of manmade hills on the pitch to better reflect Tuscany.I blame whoever started the "He plays on the left, he plays on the right" song for putting ideas into Gavin's head.

Clunis and Pinnock are the only players that made this a difficult decision, both have been miles ahead of anyone else this season for me.
Both appear to be incredibly professional, have great desire and really care about our club. Impressive considering they are both relatively young.
I'm voting Clunis. I know the word is overused and I know there was probably a bloke who played for us in 1982 that was better- but as he approaches 300 appearances, he is closing in on being a Dulwich legend in my eyes.
In the five seasons I've been coming to Champion Hill, there haven't been many when he wasn't in with a shout for this award.
Similarly, I really regret starting that "tenuous claims of charitable benefit" chant.I blame whoever started the "He plays on the left, he plays on the right" song for putting ideas into Gavin's head.

I was reminded just how much Ethan has developed in recent times while reading yesterday's match programme. The 'On This Day In the Year . . .' feature revealed it was exactly three years to the day since the notorious 'Wallgate' replay at Leatherhead, which we lost 0-1 with several key players missing. The team listed Ethan in his now familiar number 6 position, but our regular number 6 of the time was Lewis Gonsalves, who was missing through suspension. Up to that point Ethan had been a squad member mostly filling in at left back or as a holding midfielder, and occasionally on the left wing. He'd been a centre back in the youth team that played Yeovil and Newcasstle in the FA Youth Cup run a couple of seasons earlier, but I think this was the first time he'd played there in the first team. I remember worrying about this selectin with fellow fans before tha game, thinking he was a bit too raw and error prone to play there in such a vital fixture, not that we had any other better options. Three years on I'm not sure I'd pick any other Hamlet player I've seen in the last 38 years ahead of him there. He reminds me of a young Francis Duku (his first spell January 1999 to end of following season, not the second one at the end of his career after injuries had reduced his mobility) with his athleticism, physical strength, positional sense, and ability to win the ball cleanly in the air and in the tackle; and he's a better ball-player than Duku. 200 matches as a defender or holding midfielder without incurring a suspension is a notable achievement for a centre back in the modern game and a testament ot his self-discipline.I know Ethan has developed hugely as well, but I think Nyren's put so much in under Rose that he deserves it.
Oh my god don't agree we have several great players give some of the other boys a chance so boring to read this !!
We have won several games without their input and also could of scored more goals with better passing by clunis with no left foot ! Maybe that's why other bigger clubs haven't come in !
Drage Dixon moss scannel all have had great matches with some fantastic football and never get any praise it's always the same two ! boring and unfair credit to you four from me and others and having to read the same old stuff from same people so predictable !
