Planning Permission.... gits.

My husband is going mental ape bonkers.... He isnt rational like me and is shouting all over the shop at the moment.

I have done a bit of research online and found planning aid, and emailed them to see if they can help. Our neighbour has been outside ranting too.... But it seems from all the sites I have checked, its unlikely we will get it stopped as we dont have any 'real' reasons.

I will check it further, but like you say zenie, they are popping up all over and we are all loosing our gardens and views. (its not even sprawling btw!)
 
Yeah, from a glance at it you can't really get them on anything substantial. They won't block your light in any meaningful way, and the new windows, although larger than the old, don't go very much higher than the old ones.

I don't think they are splitting the site; the plot would be hard to split given the location of the house. The house lends itself to a two storey extension into the car port though.
 
Check out the planning applications linked above. They're just making the new house very small, to maintain a gap between them.
 
a right to a view or impact on the value of your house are not planning issues. sorry but if you object on that basis your objection will be ignored.

object on specific planning matters such as design, character, too dense, over development, is there satisfactory parking?, loss of trees, over bearing, loss of light, adverse impact on your amenity whilst using your garden. these things are planning matters and the planning officer will have to take these in to account when determining the applications.

btw how far away are these new houses from the rear of your property. if they are more than 22m away and only 2 storey in height you might have a problem.
 
having looked at the picture of the existing house that is only one a half storeys. the two next to is are both a full two storeys. raising the new ones up to two storey cant really be considered inappropriate as there are higher properties on the street.

the site really doenst look big enough to squeeze 3 on though and i think you should argue that its over development, too dense and out of character with the rest of the street.
 
the other thing i noticed is that the application for 3 is only for outline planning permission and not a full planning permission which means that although if granted the number of units and the size of them will be fixed the external appearance will have to be agreed at a later date.
