Los Angeles. Full of pretentious wankers who want to work in the Hollywood and won't give you time of day unless they think you can give them a job. And when you get there all the famous locations are either shit, tiny or expensive to hang around. Or all three. Only advantage is that it concentrates all dick-heads in California in one place so it can be avoided.

I second Las Vegas. A lot of my 'friends' rave on about it, which i hate because it makes me think of them as vacuous cultureless morons. Which is never a good way to think about your mates.

Vegas has become a holiday destination in the past few years- the likes of Virgin do "cheap" flight / deals - I know of 2 families who have taken a holiday in LV in the past year - both have kids under 5 - very odd place to take youngsters IMO....

I agree with Vegas. I mean it's a spectacle when you arrive but there isn't much to do there (other than drink and gamble) and it's all a bit empty.

That's surely the only reason to go there? And the prostitutes. In that sense I entirely get it. But probably wouldn't go myself.
I also don't really get Thailand. Quite a bland place which is overrun with tourists.
Pretty much all of the Caribbean is like that. The beaches are usually shit and some of the islands can be quite homophobic. When they're not they're usually trying to rip you off.
Better off going to the Greek islands. Closer, friendly and better beaches. The food is also better.

Hmmmmm....Beat me to it. The food's really not up to much unless you spend a fortune and most islands are pretty much the same. Great if you want to spend your time sitting on a beach getting stoned but quite boring otherwise.
With the exception of Cuba you can keep the Caribbean.

to be fair i was only in barca for a weekend. and i was vomiting blood most of the time.
vegas is fucking cool though. im surprised people who've been there could think otherwise.
