Places to buy wine near Brixton?

Tony has a fairly good wine selection, but no nice white wine is ever cold. Making it difficult if you are buying on the way to dinner and don't have time to chill it. This is not unique to Tony, the only place to buy cold nice white wine seems to be Sainsburys..

What sort of whites do you like? I will fix this today!

Hey

We'll we we both talk to Tony too, since he doesn't make a fig on cigs. But I'd be quite okay to buy my gin and citrus from Tony, if it could be above supermarket but not too dear (as in Tony please make a pound profit at least from the sale).

What brands do you like? I will do a price comparison between Tony and Tesco.

I don't know what it is about this very recently registered poster...there's something of the schlagenden Verbindungen about him :hmm:

Treffer!, Mrs M :D

[Although I suspect he's more closely related to the Cornish pirate than to any descendent of Friedrich der Große]

:(

Just been to Tony's to buy some Prosecco or similar. I could only see posh pricey champers, so asked the chap behind the counter (not Tony, btw) if he had any Prosecco.

He was on his mobile phone, had been on his mobile phone when I arrived. He didn't respond, so I waited for him. He looked up at me, indicated that I should ask him again, but never took his wretched bloody phone away from his ear. Said "No", so I asked "Do you have any fizzy wine that is NOT champagne?" He barely shrugged, and turned away.

He was singularly unhelpful the entire time, and I told him so. I also told him I would be going to M&S to buy my wine. He wasn't bovvered.

I would have bought some champagne if the price was reasonable. I bought M&S Cava instead.
