Its a bit bland that pand, though I could liven it up a Lil with some spices:)

Bland schmand. :p
I put lemon juice and zest, peppercorns and chillies in mine, among other things! Anyone who makes bland borscht deserves to have to eat it!

Oh, and kreplach (little stuffed dumplings, the key being what you stuff them with) are lovely with borscht too.

Usually with at least one large floret of cauli in it that no-one (no-one sane, anyway :D ) ever eats.

3 onions chopped
2 beetroot boiled and chopped
1 clove of well chopped garlic
1 tps of chilli powder
half tsp ground corriander
half tsp salt
14oz sugar

14oz of sugar? You sure? Seems a bit of a lot for 3 onions and 2 beetroot!

Hey, woah! Everybody knows pickled cauliflower is great! In fact, pickled most things are great. Apart from şalgam, which is not great at all.

Especially given that beetroots are rich in natural sugars.

Not if you've been exposed to piccalili at a young age. :(

hehe:D yeah I remember those large florets, always the last thing left in the jar, probably put into the jars at the expense of more costly ingredients
