Iwo Jima is the better film of the two. However Flags is more of a classic style war movie. Possibly more of a Saturday night flick.
than again I said that Cloverfield was alright so don't listen to me.

Didn't recognise it with that title, so looked it up. If it's the 1944 one with Gregory Peck, then yes I have seen it

No, the french one (Indigènes). It's about north african soldiers who took part in the little know South of France invasion. It won a prize at Cannes two years ago. V. good.
I've not seen the gregory peck one. I'll keep an eye out for it.
Let us know what you chose to watch in the end. i'm on tenterhooks.
i'm watching Troy. It's massively shit. but I will watch it all the way through.
