I don't know whether this will work but I thought it might be interesting. The other day I received some photographs of a few of my Victorian/Edwardian ancestors. I thought I'd share them on here and hopefully others can chip in with any photos of their own ancient folks. This is my great-great-grandfather, photographed at some point in the 1860s. Apparently he was rather a louche character with a quick temper. This is the family of my g-g-grandfather in the previous photo, dressed in mourning following his suspicious death around the turn of the century. He was said to have descended down a well where he lit a match, sparking off an explosion that blew himself into the hereafter. It's rumoured that he had been driven to distraction by his formidable and stern wife, second in from the right. There's a lesson in there somewhere. Finally this is the boy in the previous photo, pictured as a young man in the Edwardian era, shortly before the outbreak of the Great War. Note the superb moustache. Something that I think all men can aspire to.
