PFA players' player of the year nominations are...

What defender would you have there?? No one has especially shone this season. Know what you mean though.

Don't know, because I've just got bored with the ever-predictable Premiership and not really followed it. It was more of universal observation, how attackers always get the attention of the instantaneous, individualist media. I'm too young to remember much of the pre-1992 world, but did this happen as much before Sky showed up? For example, did Dalglish get far more attention than say Hansen?

Stats and goal wise, he hasn't had a spectacular season but if Gerrard made the list then Rooney should be there.
Without him United are shit and I give you the example of Citeh beating them twice this season.

so umm i guess the answer is you cant balme it on sky.

Whilst I like to blame most things on Sky (or more broadly Murdoch), I thought that'd be the case. Looking back to the pre-1992 era, you hear more about Matthews, Greaves, Charlton, Best, Lineker, Gascoigne, etc, and further afield Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Puskas, etc, than you do of Wright, Moore, Mackay, Shilton, Banks, and Facchetti, Seeler, Yashin, Alberto, Koeman, Baresi, etc. I guess Sky and its partners have exacerbated the attackers-are-the-best-players comcept.
