For me it's between Gerrard, Vidic and Giggs

I'd love Giggs to win it for the romance (and thats the only reason he's in my top 3

so Gerrard or Vidic??

Gerrard FTW!

Gerrard and Vidic are the only ones worthy of nomination in my opinion. Where is Alonso? He's had a better season than Gerrard. For me Vidic voted against himself twice with his two red cards against Liverpool.

This list of nominees goes to show that it has not been a great season. Ronaldo and Giggs were better last season than this one. No-one from Chelsea springs to mind as worthy.

Why are VDS and Rio nominated? VDS and Reina have the same number of clean sheets. Utd and Liverpool have conceded the same number of goals. Chelsea have conceded one goal less. But all people seem to remember are the 12 (?) consecutive clean sheets. What about the 11 conceded in the last 5 games?

I Agree with this

Why is it only ever players in the 'big 4' that are nominated for these things? They're all great players no doubt about that, but you never seem to see players from smaller teams get their dues when the awards come out.

Good idea in theory but don't hink anyone outside the top 4 is worthy. No consistant performers really. Stephen Ireland has had a very good season but not as good as Vidic or Gerrard. Any suggestions?

Rory Delap at Stoke for his throw-ins?
Kevin Davies at Bolton for his elbows?
Michael Owen at Newcastle for his injuries?
Gareth Barry at Villa for his loyalty?
Robbie Keane at Spurs for his bouncebackability?

shocked anelka and torres werent up for this. But i think it was vited for in novemeber so torres would have been out injured and anelka was rarely playing.

vidic for me.

I'd vote for Davies over Ronaldo.

I think scott parker and matt upson could have been up for the main award possibly.

Upson has literally been perfect for us since abut november!

and scott parker has been class since i dunno decemeber jan sort of time.

Both past the cut off date though and i cant rmemeber what either of thier form was like at the tail end of last season.

Tim Cahill should be winning that award by a mile. Everton are heading for 5th in the Prem and an FA cup semi final despite not having any forwards for most of the season - Cahill's been good in unfamiliar positions and outstanding when in his regular attacking midfield spot.

But no, Edwin "2 saves per game" Van Der Saar gets nominated. Duh.

I agree with Zapp. Everton's gravity defying season against all odds deserves more plaudits than it will end up getting
