Peter Law was a true Democratic Politician who stuck to his principles and socialist qualities. He was not a party hack who would sell his soul; he was a man of integrity and inspiration, a man who put his constituents before yo-yo party policies.

Peter was also a kind man, who would do anything to help his fellow man and woman. He had a funny personality and a wicked glint in his eye and was a good friend to many.

Politics will be a poorer place today and the future will miss a great politician; he was one of life's rarities who was in it not for himself and his career, but to serve his community and the people of Blaenau Gwent.

RIP Peter. A true Socialist and believer in Democracy.
